Through its Electronic Signature and Electronic Document Management System with the aim of preventing redundant paper consumption resulting from domestic and foreign correspondences every year, it underlines the importance of environmental social responsibility within the institution across the country.
It contributes to the conservation of the green environment of Turkey by minimizing general stationery consumption in its internal and external corporate routine activities by using internet, telephone and document management systems. It is intended to develop much more projects within this ambition and integrate them to interoperate processes in the years ahead.
Enabling the recycling process of materials that are used in various company processes and minimizing the negative effects towards the environment during or as the result of corporate activities, are adopted as being important parts of our social responsibility.
The United Nations Global Compact, also known as Compact or UNGC, is a U.N. initiative to encourage businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies, and to report on their implementation.
In other words, the UN Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.
The Global Compact was first announced by the then UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan in an address to The World Economic Forum on January 31, 1999.
SAMPAŞ signed the Global Compact in the year 2007 and adopted its principles as the essential principles of the company.
